I recently had a spider mite problem so I made a soap and neem mix up I did a patch test on a few leaves and was no reaction after 36hrs so I went ahead and gave all my plants a good spray 3 days later all the leaves are showing signs of being burnt is there anything I can do ?

I am not sure as I am lucky enough to date to not have encountered any pests of any kind; I'd suggest keeping them hydrated is the best thing you can do and perhaps give them a light misting shortly before you switch into night cycle so as not to magnify the scorching under intense light.

For future infestation issues I'd suggest as tedious as it is that you manually wipe the leaves with nothing more than a damp sponge. A long winded and precise job, I'd prefer not to run the risk of problems by using any kind of chemicals or detergents. It's a lot of work but you can be assured its also (probably) the lowest harm way of nipping an infestation in the bud (no pun intended).

I’m aware I need to sort the environment as well but that was not what I asked I asked if there is anything I can do for soap burnt plants !
I don't think there is anything you can do about the damage that has been done except learn from it.
I doubt that wiped out the mites, they will rebuild there populations if more is not done.
I see you are in veg. Better not switch to flower till it is resolved, that is if it can be resolved. Not an easy battle and to beat them will likely take something other than neem and soap.

Been there done that lol. The leaves will most likely get crispy and die. If you are in veg I suggest, remove the damaged leaves and let the plant focus on growing new leaves rather than being in repair mode. Spider mites are my worst fear now. I ended up ordering new seeds and culling my perpetual grow. I used a water/bleach solution and went to town on everything! Walls, lights, carbon filter etc. remove any dead leaves and give them nothing to feed on if you go down this path!!
I learnt real quick to keep my grow rooms as sterile as possible and don’t let pets into your grow room!
Good luck, hope all goes well man!

Hey leeski, I hope all your probs got worked out, I wanted to give you a heads up for prevention of all bugs and mites for next time that I have tried and it works better than any soap or neeam oil. It’s tomato's leafs! Get some leafs of your tomatoes chop up and steep overnight in water. Strain next day add some more water for dilution and spray the heck out of anything and everything. The tomatoes are if the nightshade family and has Alkaloids that are toxic to all bugs except our pollinating bees or lady bugs. Does not hurt plants and you can spray on flowering plants ( if you must) and there is no byproduct left on buds. Cheers. Edit... tomato plant leafs not the green leafy piece on a picked one.

Hmmm. Never heard of this until now but I've got a bunch of tomato plants outside and am going to make some of this today and spray on the wife's Rose's as they have been eaten up by bugs this year. Do you know how long you can keep this mixture? And or how to store it?

It wasn't soap that caused the damage, it was the neem. Your plants are in a weakened condition because of the mites. Mix up some foliar spray with silica, and put some in their feed also. It will help strengthen the plants, and the foliar will make the leaves a lot less attractive to pests. I run a perpetual and it has saved me from a total breakdown several times.

I use neem regularly as a preventative and a solution to most infestations! and it’s rather gentle and natural. I’ve used a soap solution and it’s far from gentle.

That has not been my experience, but I'm glad it has worked for you. What kind of soap were you using, if you don't mind me asking? I use dw liquid in my foliars every day and have not had a problem. Maybe we are using different brands.

Your solution was too strong. I spray with neem weekly in veg and never have any issues other than shiny leaves. I use a little soap as well as a surfactant. As for soap. I just use Dawn. Never have any problems with it burning the plants. But like I do with nutrients I don't use too much.

Well that's strange. That shouldn't be too strong. What else has changed? Nutrients, etc...
