If you own a gun you’re 43 times more likely to kill yourself or your family than that imaginary boogeyman you’re so scared of

Go back to stormfront, nazi
Private ownership of firearms in US is about 1,470,000
Firearm deaths of all kinds (murder, accident, self defense, use by police, etc) 39,300
American adults that own a firearm 30%
60% of lawful owners think the laws on ownership should be stricter.

Of all the mass shootings in the US all except one were in an area where carrying was not allowed.
A 1993 nationwide survey of 4,977 households found that over the previous five years, at least 3.5% of households had members who had used a gun “for self-protection or for the protection of property at home, work, or elsewhere.” Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology, Fall 1995.

A 1982 survey of 8,547 male felons in 11 state prisons across the U.S. found:
~ 34% had been scared off, shot at, wounded, or captured by an armed victim.”
~ 40% had decided not to commit a crime because they “knew or believed that the victim was carrying a gun.”
~ 69% personally knew other criminals who had been “scared off, shot at, wounded, or captured by an armed victim.”
Armed and Considered Dangerous: A Survey of Felons and Their Firearms (Expanded edition). By James D. Wright and Peter D. Rossi. Aldine De Gruyter, 1986 (Expanded edition published in 1994).

A review comparing ER admitting records to police reports show that the victims of rape were armed only 3.2% of the time. Pew Research Center "Prevention of Sexual Assault" 2005.

And, you can call me a nazi if you wish, but the first thing Hitler did was disarm his citizens; even though, after the end of WWl, most citizens were armed. So, if what you are saying is true, and we have a Hitler in the White House now ... I am not giving up my guns.
You can come get em ... but, I'm not giving ...
