godkas, you are wrong with your Hermie info...shock at that young of an age could really make it turn Hermie.
but chances are that it is ok, but its just a warning...we arent stearing you wrong, so next time you top, you should do it later, when its more mature,and stronger, and healthy.

I understand that the stress could cause it to be a hermie but I think if you do it properly and cut above its last fork ( the set of leaves under it) while it is still new growth those channels are highly capable of being subject to manipulation.

And again she didnt seem to care. -shrug-

Of course most of us are giggling at you, but i must admit i have never done that before and am interested to see what happens. Cannabis is a rough and tough little plant. It will probably live, but will be stressed out. I am no scientist but i bet you cut the chance of it being female in half easily... Guessing 25% chance it being a female if/when it lives. If it does, it will look hella cool.

Indeed it will. I am not sure about one kind of stress being the breaking factor in a percentage chance. Id wait and see what the plant does because invariably it has its own will and will do as it pleases regardless of my meddling.

I am very stoked to see if this experiment turns out well because it could benefit many covert growers. I can say I have already stunted my plants growth by half of its capability (in the time I intend to veg it) I will be making two maybe up to eight more cuts in this experiment at varying stages of maturity.

Here's what I think. Topping a plant is not that bad for the plant, maybe set it back a couple of days, but not enough to stress it, and certainly nothing that would cause hermies. Do it early or late, it doesn't matter, I top my plants once around the 5th node.

This is my first marijuana grow. I know people who grow and have observed them. I used to have a vegetable garden :) never paid insane prices for groceries.

Other than that. I study and observe a lot. Taken a few hort classes.

Well its interesting it seems that it finished healing last night and now those nubs are even bigger than when i posted those pics. Ill put up some new ones tonight at around 12:00 PST right before lights out for the night.

it looks like its working... keep a little wind blowing to make a strong stem - cuz with 2 stalks that low it might get top heavy fast. very nice!
