[Software] CannaGrower Alpha 4

Greetings to all,

Here is a new alpha version of CannaGrower, thanks to give your comments.

I tryed to optimize look and feel, hope you will see a difference.

Took a look at it out of curiousity...I found it pretty good at least for organisation. For next version i suggest useing feet instead of meters when measureing the grow room, maybe there was a way to change it, i didnt really look. Also more strains is definatly good.

I thinked about english user and i have added feet, you simple write '10 f' and CannaGrower accept it...

But this values aren't actually used for calculation, and as you say... not enough strain...

I'm actually making software more user-friendly, i keep you up to date.

Integrating this with jAuto could be really promising.

i like the program and would love to use it but it needs some work still in my opinion.

needs tds. ec is better and used some places as a measurement instead of tds but i only have a tds pen and if i could put in the conversion ratio for my tds pen the app could just tell me my ec that would be awesome!

more strains or open text fields for strains. also strains need more attributes like expected m2 harvest, flowering peroid, expected height etc that way the statistics could show you where you're at compared to expectations

more hydroponic options. has a res area but it dosnt keep track of bucket size. i use ebb and grow and have a 55 gal (208 liter) res. i had to hit google and convert my res from gal to liter and then for my plant count i need another attribute that captures the size of my buckets.


very promising and i would not think twice about paying for a full featured application. for now i'm going to keep a eye on your app and max out excels formulas to keep track of things
a data export would be nice to like a pdf summary of your grow so you could print it or share it online in a universal format. wouldnt that be kick ass to add to your online grow journals!

I was about to start coding my own software, as I couldn't find any elsewhere. I would like the ability to add pictures, add your own strains and have a strain information page (like the strain's web page from a seed company). Oh, and a plant count in bold, red and highly visible at all times (to keep you out of trouble). I will look into contributing on sourceforge.net. What a great find! And even in Java!

How about in the future having a full realtime webcam integration of your grow room with realtime tempeture (TDS for deep culture and reservoir), light meter integration, humidity etc etc. Having a realtime side to it all, giving the grower a complete overview.

You can buy USB webcam, USB temperature sticks, but I've yet to find TDS and humidity etc on USB, except perhaps proper £800 systems...
