SoG Nute Q - RE: Harvest Every 2 weeks Thread

I am very interested in the methods outlined in https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/6592-get-harvest-every-2-weeks.html.

I am possibly working with a very small space roughly 2' X 2'. I think I can fit a small 8 plant system in this space, but only if I have just 1 nutrient reservoir for all four stages rather than a separate reservoir for each stage. Will it work to have all 4 stages of flowering draw from the same nutrients?

that should work great but i would just run them all at once so they are the same height. that is a real constricted space you got there ideally you would want at least 3x3 that would give you enough for 30-36 plants depending on the pot size.

this wouldn't work. each pair of plants would need different strengths of nutes. for instance, two plants you just put in there from clone would need a lower strength then the ones you're about to harvest. having only one reservoir you couldn't achieve this. only way i could think that you could do the perpetual thing like al b fuqt is with soil and have each plant in a separate container, or if you want to stick with hydro do dwc. otherwise you would just have to grow them all at ounce.

i run SOG in soil and dwc.
in a few weeks, switching to a larger space & ebb & flow.

i use two (built in) closets & a grow tent to get the mom & flower jobs done.. i have another space for my small cloner.
i can't imagine doing SOG with a space smaller than mine.

one closet broken into sections might do it... but you'll need to make the flower area light proof.

i crack beans only to get mother plants... any other female(s) go straight into flower or are dished off to my homie.

the key to the SOG system is clones & cloning ability.

you'll either need mother plants or clones of clones.
that's one seperate area.

another area is required to flower... which you indicate you have.

2x2 can accomodate 10 to 12 plants easy... small concrete mixing tray, small igloo cooler for a rez, 50 gph pump, and a small air pump & stone

you can easily go straight from the cloner to flower with little to no veg time.
my plants get 2 to 3' utilizing this strategy.

Thanks for the info. My flowering closet (built in) is 2' x 2' and I only have a need for 8 plants assuming as much as 14-28 grams per plant every two weeks. I'm gonna try to figure something out to make SoG work.

Average 14 grams per so .5 grams per watt. Ive implemented changes in my grow to better that number

in a sog you can place them ladies as close as 4" apart like nord said will work fine but personally i think i like the 8" spacing best that is what i am doing now in my sog.. check out my link below you can see pics of both 4" spacing and 8"

using a light mover, i can easily fit 50 plants in a 6' x 3' x 6' space for flower.

as long as you grow lollipops, you can get some fairly tight spacing if you use the right light & keep unnecessary foliage to a minimum. i also supercrop any larger plants to keep the canopy even.

i run a 600w hps on a light mover for flower... about 6" from the tops.

i've seen SOG set ups with anywhere from 1 to 4 plants per square foot... it just depends on your grow method & choice of grow medium.
