soil and container

Hi new here. Been looking around and reading up on some tips before i started growing.
My question is, what kind of soil should i use after i germinate my seeds? is there any where i can use from start to finish? do all soils need to be fertilized with special stuff?
and can i just use a red party cup for the first pot i place the seeds in?

Wats up man, you can use a red plastic cup to plant the germinated seed. For soil I recommend using Fox's Farm's Ocean Forest Soil Mix. This particular soil holds enough nutrients to feed your plants to up to 4 weeks then you will need to buy some nutes. It contains Worm Castings and Bat Guano Plants love that stuf,f and at only around 12 bucks hope this helps.

that did help, thank you very much :)
and to add on i guess, is there a certain fertilizer, or "nutes"? that you can buy and it has everything you need so you don't need to mix stuff?

Honestly for your first grow just start off with a one part nute it will be alot easier for you, get familiar with nutes and then you can go multi part your next grow.

so is there like a brand? lol this must sound dumb.
oh and can i water with distilled water? wouldn't that make it so i don't have to worry about the ph levels?

Start off with Fox Farms Big Bloom nutes for vegging.. Dont use any nutes until atleast ur 3rd or 4th week.

Follow the directions/feeding schedule closely.. Too much nutes can screw you up bad..

If you use distilled water you'll still have to monitor Ph. There's no way around that, so keep that in mind.

Also, buy a PH testing kit will cost around 20 bucks but it comes with PH UP and PH DOWN to adjust your ph level unless you want to dish out like 60 plus dollars on a PH meter go right ahead. Remember 7 to 6.5 is the ideal PH for most plants.
