Hey, as of right now i dont have much money to buy soil and all but my mom had plants outside from the summer with alot of soil and she left the pots out since the summer but the soil is like rock hard... could i like bring in the soil and let it like warm up and all and then use it to grow a child? or is the soil bad

its not ideal for an indoor grow but i guess it could work for now, until you need to re-pot(hopefully into some nice new fresh compost)
If you insist on doing it ghetto:-
Make sure you break the soil up as much as possible,so the roots dont struggle trying to get themsleves established...
altho i would suggest that you microwave the soil for a good 5-7 mins,(put it in a bowl etc cover with shrink wrap, pierce a coule of holes in the shrink wrap to allow it to breathe and then NUKE THE SHIT OUTTA IT) to kill any bacteria or bugs etc that might be in there...Also the soil has prolly had the Nutes flushed from it if its been outside for a long while.. So Give the Soil a VERY light watering with a diluted nutrient..I'd use approx 1/10th of the recommended doseage, to put a few traces of food for the plant to take while its in its seedling stages...

jus put the soil in a colander and break it all up and keep running water threw it to flush out all the old nutrients...and jus do this a couple times, im sure that would clean it ...and use sum peroxide
