Soil cups need to be covered with plastic?

Sup guys!
I just put the seeds in soil in cups under light. Do I need to cover the cops with plastic ?

Do I need to cover the CUPS with plastic for humidity?

No you don't.

No you dont but it sure is easier to keep the soil moist when no moisture can escape. I always cover because why not.

If it gets to hot you can but it could be how close the light is

No you want to get a plastic humidity domb and make air holes in it.

I always get a large box that will fit all my cups of seeds in it ....I punch a few air holes in the side and then use a clear piece of plastic that covers the top perfectly....I keep that in place with clothes pins .....the holes in the sides aren't very big ...just one on each side to keep a little air flow .....works great to keep humidity up and everything at a good temp and protected ....GL

Because it can cause them to damp off.

If needed a flap of cardboard loosely on the cup works fine.
