It's a bagseed in a 2 gallon fabric pot now. Read that if I add soil on top roots will come out of the newly buried part of the stem? Is that true or will i need to do another transplant eventually

You can definitely top off your soil. Transplant depends on how the plant does and if you want it to get bigger.
not too worried about it getting big big..just want to successfully finish and get something off it...if I leave in it the 2 gallon pot will it flower sooner?
It was transplanted from 1 gallon pot 2 weeks ago

It will flower when mother nature's light gets to the point that it decides it needs to flower. If you want her to flower earlier, you can deprive her of light a little earlier in the evening before the sun goes down.
IMO outside is a 10-20G minimum just because of watering frequency. But I am in super hot/arid climate with wind.
I'm cool with that.. is it normal for it to already have a weed smell when in veg? I caught a whiff of some dank a few times when inspecting it

Do you think I should put some mix some perlite in soil I'm about to put on top? It's FFOF but the thing is my soil mix for this pot is 1 or 1 n half inch layer of FFOF at the bottom and the rest filled with Mother earth groundswell ...would putting FFOF on top of that possibly cause problems? I'd like to think the roots have reached that bottom layer on FFOF soil but idk much about roots and how fast they grow..it was transplanted from a close to rootbound 1 gallon pot of straight mother earth groundswell soil. Thanks again

Probably not the best solution to “ hose “ down plant with neem oil - especially in hot and direct sun exposure. You have to have some kind of control when working with certain products - as you may cause more harm than good. ( burning / stress / etc. )

I mentioned Capt. Jack’s Dead Bug Brew ( spinosad ) it is much less “ heavy “ of a treatment than neem oil.
Plus it doesn’t smell anywhere near as bad.

But it is what it is - i guess.

Top dressing more soil is quick and easy and can be done anytime. I would say leave plant alone but that might be too late.

Keep us posted. Good or bad.

I remembered somebody mentioning the Dead Bug Brew and litteraly just ordered it about 30 minutes before i got back on here and saw ur comment.and I know about the neem and direct sunlight 'i did it about 45 min after the sun went down..did it becuz felt like every other time I was only getting the top of the leaves with the neem and I just recently started using it every 3 days, about 3 times now.
