most will say that soil taste better

hydro requires more attention to detail and experience IMO is good for folks that like to tweak things

also less time to fix things you can lose a whole crop in an hour if something goes wrong

I like soil (well soilless mix)

They both have there pros and cons tbf mate, Most soil growers will say soil and vice versa. Iv had some proper tasty bud thats been done Hydro but that dosnt mean its better than soil. Just means the soil bud iv smoked wasnt done properly lol.

As for your post above, Im sure Hydro grows bigger/quicker than soil. What i mean is the rate of growth is quicker

having a medium free grow alows for larger grows
there are so maney problems with soil
bugs, germs, sickness
soil is heaver and harder to move
if you doing a 50 plant crop 5 gallon pots
thats a lot of soil over 250 gallon per harvest 4 harvest a year, you do the math
it all depends on the size grow you are doing, but there are soil grows this sze and bigger
soil is very forgiveing when it come to ph and nute ppms campared to hydro where these no. need to be spot on

soil and hydro has just as many pros and cons
personly i keep my mother in soil and clone to hydro

You must realise kcbuds that everybody will more than likely biased to their own methods :bigjoint:

My medium is soil. Its more forgiving of any mistakes i could make, it can ultimately produce finer smoke if you grow organically, and i do know ways to make it grow just as fast as a hydro system. Its all in the technique my friend :)

On the flipside i have to water almost every day now and thats a pain in the ass. My 2 cents .....

I am by NO MEANS an experienced grower, just thought I would tell you why I decided on soil, my husband was willing to pay 4 a hydro system having grown up in the "Dro" era. but not soil, that I had to prove myself with.

While researching I realized that most of the breeders use soil, there must be something to that. Another thing was the "forgivabilty" of soil. I made a BOATLOAD of mistakes with my girls and they grew into beautiful plants. I did end up with a hermie that pollinated all my girls but they still looked good!

Lastly, the initial set up cost of hydro is significantly more expensie and if you are buying expensive seeds you have a better chance of killing them in hydro if U do not know what you are doing.
