Soil grow ,ph up and down, soil ph HELP

use the little screws on top and turn them to calibrate to 7.1...
i use General Hydroponics ph up and down but there are other organic alternatives
the ph of water going in should be at 6.5 to 6.8 should be the same coming out

i try to calibrate it with the screw but it wont pick a number

well if its just fluctuating back and forth from 7.1 to 7.2 i wouldn't worry about it too much its fine.
(i'm assuming your adjusting the screw while the probe is in the 7.1 calibration solution)

I use Earth Juice pH up and down.
Easiest way to test soil pH is check the runoff after you water/fed. Allow it to drain out the bottom of pots and suck it up with a turkey baster and then into a cup or something and test. Testing runoff is never perfectly accurate, especially in 100% organic grows, but it's in the vicinity. So as long as you are between 6.2-6.8 you should be good.

i have 9 plants and the Ph on 8 of them is 7.2 and on the other one it is 7.3. is this ok?? i heard that calcium is good for adjusting Ph but does it raise it or lower it??

Are your plants looking healthy? If so its fine. You should also check the EC of your nutes/water and run off to see if there is any buildup of salts.
I believe you want the first few ounces of water from the drip to get somewhat accurate reading. Maybe wrong though FYI.

get some dolomite or garden lime and mix it at 1 cup per cubic ft of soil. that will buffer your soil and make ph less of a worry.
