Ditto on Fox Farm. Check your ph regularly. Watering frequency and amount depend on plant size and growing conditions. You'll have to be more specific to get a better answer. Prune bottom branches so when it's time to work with the soil you won't have to work around those branches. Keep a little reserve soil around. Use enough soil in the right size container. Gaduate your container, small to large, if possible.

I went with Ocean forest and those same fox farm nutes for my first grow (just finishing up)
Seems to have done be a good job for this being my first grow ever
Although I mixed in 1 part perlite for every 3 parts ocean forest

Any soil will work. Miracle Grow Moisture Control soil will even work. Hell if you have your PH right, MG is great. There are a lot of people on the forums that will boast about how you have to use FF, or Orangics, or some other $20 bag of soil. With the right nutrients, you can get away with just using the$ 6 bag of Kelloggs soil from Home Depot.

Just remember, the soil you use is as good as what is in it. No one soil is magical, they all need a little fine tuning. I would start off with something less expensive with some regular old house hold fertilizers before spending a fortune on cannabis specific products, most of the time they are just over priced.
