Not good if you're growing in living soil. Cannabis prefers fungally dominant soil. The h2o2 most likely killed off that fungus, not to mention the microbial life, that helps feed your plant.

Pics would help but it's unlikely to be a problem. Fungi that appear on the soil generally don't infect living plants. Basically, if it wanted to eat your plant(s), it would be on the plant(s), not on the soil surface.

And iirc, powdery mildew only really grows on plants. Spores can probably survive on the soil, but not bloom.

Are you keeping a grow journal or anything? What's your conditions? If it is mold I'd guess too moist with stagnant air but please do enlighten us.

The thing is, with a living, organic soil, there's really not a lot you need to do. You feed the microbes, and fungus, in the soil, and in turn, they feed the plant for you. Just give em the right environment, and don't over water.

I’ve been known to overwater but I haven’t been overwatering these lately - more like once every 5 or 6 days. I think I probably didn’t put enough perlite in the original mix because the dirt stays damp for literally 5 or 6 days. My set up is nothing out of the ordinary and I’ve had plenty of successful runs before this one, hence the vastness of perplexity - my best guess is overwatering combined with low soil ph (possibly an error from FFOF / possibly my mistake). I’ve also been pulling air out of two tents with one fan for the past couple weeks so I wonder if that’s a contributing factor to this recent fungal development. Maybe I’ll start up the second fan up tonight so each tent has independent air flow.
I would share pics but the H2O2 did a solid job of removing this white fuzzy looking fungus from the top of the dirt. At first I thought the H2O2 could help the roots if they’ve been waterlogged, but now you’re all making me think I killed off something harmless (probably from using one fan for two tents). I was aware that I’d be sizzling all the positive microbes within the soil and, thus, defeating the purpose of organic soil, but I can always add more back if these plants turn a corner so I figured fuck it and gave it a shot.
