Soil Issues

Hey White Ryno.... I was just wondering, are you growing white rhino? The reason I ask is because that's the only strain I grow. I love everything about it. Explosive growth during veg, and huge colas when flowering! Tri-chome production like you wouldn't believe. Sticky and stinky. It's flat out super-ganja! :-) heheh

thank you all for your help...all the new growth on the plants is looking very healthy. i've run into a couple more issues though....

first off is the pesky species known to us as goddamgnat motherfuckerus (saw that in a high times and it made me chuckle). anyways, i used some non-toxic spray (advertised to kill fungus gnats among others) and hung some sticky fly traps to control the problem. I also put some of the spray in some water (very diluted) to treat the soil for possible larvae. ideally I would have used something with BTI in it but, because all the stores around me are seasonal, it wasn't available.

next...the reason i started this forum was because some mold began growing on top of some compost I was using. Well, I removed the top layer of mold, the soil has dried out, and no more mold has grown since. however, it appears that a tiny bit of mold may be growing in the containers of my babies. here is a couple pictures of one sample. i chose this plant because it is far behind in growth from the others so i was going to toss it anyways. the mold is similar on others...let me know if you think it is cause for concern or possibly just nutrients (should be noted that i used a sulfur mix to correct pH about two weeks ago)

try a little more nitrogen i use a good bit of blood meal in my soil mix especial for durable strains for this kind of nonsense. id go for some N. and if you have room i wouldnt toss that plant it may be behind but ive had plants like that and sometimes they hit a growth spurt and catch up, or exhibit different growth traits, i had a reall miserable looking plant start with a leaf mutation that i ended up using as a mother because it took topping really well and was some great smoke. so give it a week or 2 and see. if you dont have room toss it though

should i make a sprayable solution or sprinkle on the surface of the soil? i have a miracle gro organic bloodmeal supplement that is a granulated consistency (12-0-0). if i should sprinkle, how much per plant. containers are typical sized styrofoam cups (10-12 oz)

um i typically mix it with the soil but im thinking you could put a small amount on top before you water and use the water to sink it into the soil
