Soil-less Media pH

I've been thinking about doing some soil-less media. I was wondering, When I make up my nutes, do I need the pH level for soil, or 5.8 like in typical hydroponics?

One other question, would it be better to get a soil-less mix with a wetting agent or one without?

I target PH 6 but PH 5.8 is fine.
What medium are you thinking about,and what style?
What do u mean by wetting agent???Moisture release pellets?

My cousin uses the soilless with the wetting agent. He likes it and still gets 3-4 feedings a week.
I use the soilless without and get the same 3-4 a week.
Dalek is right, around 6.0 is great.

I always run my ph at 5.8, mj likes a little acidity.

My local hydro store has sunshine mix #1&#4. I was thinking about using one of them. I've her of people using Mix #4 before, I'm gonna be using an Advanced Nutrient line up as well.
