luckily i haven't faced any bugs of this size in the castings, and i don't want to see them. i don't know if i'd want to stick worm castings in my freezer, it's bad enough i've got the worm food in there waiting for them
I reaaally wouldn't worry about it, the way I look at it is simple, the things that eat your plants?
Aren't in your compost, cuz there isn't any plants in there to eat.

I've used outside compost for two yrs now, and the only bugs I get are the mites that are alllllll over the place out here.
No gnats, thrips, aphids or anything, just spider mites
Heh... as I am re-reading this, it's not re-assuring at all...
trust me though, my mites don't come from my compost..
