i bought some really good mix from a hydro store and i just noticed today it smells like mold.....could it have been because i keep it in the room where the girls are?????its 60 or so % humidity in that room.....the thing is expensive and its the size of a bail of hay........................can i still use it ,i put it somewhere else thats not humid........i dont know can anyone tell me

yea if its bad like you say id just replace it , if you dont got the cash for it , buy patio plus at home depot im using it for my current grow , and check my outdoor link i did for my outdoor, i did half in fox farm a couple in roots organic soil and a few in patio plus , patio plus and fox farm growth was pretty much the same roots organic was the better 1 but now to be dropping 100 bux on 3 bags, id go for patio plus at 5 dollars a bag. plus it has perilite,bat guano , worm casting, lime(for buffering ph), etc the works for the low!

Mold by it's self should smell earthy like ant other compost , Some of the better compost is made by mold (leaf mold)
It's the half fermented compounds that will stink .
Does it smell earthy or like something bad ??
