soil ph question

hey, quick question about soil ph- I had my plants dropped on me after a grower buddy's house got robbed and he needed to get rid of them- this is my first time growing and I'm kinda learning as I go here. I checked the soil ph and it's at eight, I'm looking for recommendations on lowering it. I've read that vinegar might work? The plants are flowering now and have got what looks like some nutrient deficencies (yellowing leaves, purple stems, etc), which I'm thinking is related to the ph problem. One last thing- I'm using distilled water while my buddy who got the other half of the plants isn't- his ph is fine. Could it be the water?

elemental sulphur is the purist fastest way to bring down ph.
or if you go to the nursery you will actually see bottles labeled ph up and ph down. that are made just for adjusting soil ph
8 is high.

Attached is the guide chart I go by, it seems accurate. first half is veg second half is flower.

yeah, I have some ph down- I added it to my water once and it didn't really seem to do much. Do I need to be applying it for a couple of days or forever or what? Thanks!

ps- also, still curious about the distilled water thing....
