Soil Question

I've been wondering if there is something on the market that is comparable to Fox Farm Ocean Forest, yet not as expensive as Fox Farm. I came across this http://www.premierhort.com/eProMix/Gardening/fGardening.htm and I'm wondering if anyone has tried it, if so, is is any good. On a side not, I also have a question about one of my plants & I asked in Gem MJ Growing but no answer yet. Is my plant Male, Female or Both?

I use Pro-mix BX, but you have to add nutes to it and FFOF has all the nutes needed for vegatation. I like the pro-mix i got some nice plants in it right now goin into the 3rd week of flower. They look like females to me.

pro-mix is the shit. you can always make your own mixture. I do about 3 parts organic potting soil, 1 part vermiculite, 1 part perlite.

If you're going to order soil online and pay to have it shipped, you might as well buy Fox Farm. Shipping soil is so expensive, usually costs more than the dirt.

I plan on driving to pick the soil up. I cant find FFOF for less than $25. I got 7 plants on their 1st day of flower in 5 gallon bags and I got 14 more vegging in 1 gal but they need more room. Plus I wanna take a few clones and try my hand at cloning. Do you guys reuse your soil or start over with fresh soil?

What do you add to your pro mix, and at what ratio?
