My m8 basicly went into his garden and took a load of soil from the ground, it had shit loads of rocks and even shells in it, it also is a bit grey in colour. finally it drys up rele fast and become a little bit dusty. Hes plants have been growing for 3 weeks now, and the plants i planted in the perfect soil ( soil, perlite, castings.) are literally 5 times the size and alot healthier looking. My question is, will his plants recover when he repots it into a bigger pot with higher quality soil or are they fucked in general? ( by fucked i mean doomed to be small )

well the soil from outside may be lacking the nuts the plants needs, and it may have mites and shit, so it may effect and eat the roots no matter what type of soil he puts it in, but if it doesent have any insects, your plant may have just gotten a growth spirt before his, or your growing cond. are just better then his making your plants healyther and grow quicker

Soil, nutrients and lights are like computers ... garbage in, garbage out.

Your friend should transplant into a quality soil mix as soon as possible.

so best thing to do is put the plant in the new soil. But should he remove the shitty soil or wat? also excluding insects, what could have caused the growth problems. The only plant that looks healthy seems to be growing like a dwarf plant is fucking weird. ( When they where just sprouted he did have them in a room that was above 30 degrees, it didnt kill em but could this be why?

no you dont have to clear the roots of the old dirt you can surely knock some off but...you should nt have to the roots will grow down to the new(better) dirt and should take off...I had to do the same thing with MG > FFOF took off almost over night...
