i took a plant tahat is 4 weeks old and i took the plant and roots out of the soil and made a icecream container with the roots in a nutrient solution with a hole in the ice cream container snd s peice of towel to holt the plant by the stem with the tip of the roots from the small root ball in the nutrient solution i slash water on the top part of the roots will this work or will it die or should i put in back into soil?

I'm pretty sure it will die back a whole bunch as the roots have to adapt to hydro. I would probably return it to a good soil. No nutrients just clean water for a week.

post a picture, no way to tell if there is a nutrient problem really.

The main problem is you have soil roots and need to grow hydro roots. i would look into cutting a clone and hydro that.
