Soil vs flood and drain?

I am growing in soil and cant seem to get the results I would like. Someone told me to get the best yields I needed to grow using a flood and drain method. I have one six watt light and want to get a pound per harvest and I only get 7-8 oz now with soil. My friend said I would need grow with the flood table to achieve this.

try coco...hear it is easier and more productive...but I do well in dirt...well soilless to be accurate

try soilless kind of in the middle, getting the right plant count per 600 watt is also important.

I have great success with Soilless med. in flowering. I use sunshine mix #4 & Foxfarm Light seed warrior. 1 bag sunshine mix w/2 bags light seed warrior...mix together real well. You have to water more...but they get more nutrients. The flood & drain is similiar, But u r reusing the water & nutrients in your res. & changing that out as directed. Peace & happy Gardening.

Can you all tell me what u mean by soilless growing. Do you still use buckets and feed with soil nutes? Where would you find the soilless medium?
