Preferably, answers from growers that have grown using both methods.

NOT interested to know about taste or potency or difficulty of method.

The majority of opinions seem to say that hydro produces more faster. Approximately how much more? 30%? 50%? And how much faster? 60 days? 90 days?

AH, the question that can start wars....

Simple answer is hydro will yield better then soil.

Now then,,,with practice and time. You can just about match hydro yields with soil (and I mean damn close)...synthetic OR Organic.....

I get damn close.....But I choose soil for reasons you wish to not discuss....

There you go.

Thank you. Indeed, this question seems to stir up a lot of high passions and debates. :)

What Doc said and it's not really about yielding more per say, it's more about how much quicker the growth is during the vegatative period so that =bigger roots, bigger fruits

Done it several ways myself and hydro always yields more faster but it's also more work and more expensive than plants grown in soil. It's hard to say exactly by how much but growth rates in hydro are definately faster however flowering times are about the same no matter what method you use. It takes about 9 weeks or more to grow mature mj buds on planet earth no matter if it's in a DWC or a dirt pot. You can potentially veg a clone for a few weeks in hydro & it could yield the same as a plant vegged for a couple months in soil. There are way too many variables from one method and/or one strain to another to give a definitive comparison of percentage of growth rates but the main reason this is so is due to the increased amount of O2 that roots receive in most hydroponic systems that drive faster growth. A high grade airy organic mix can potentially match hydro growth rates in soil if conditions are perfect but it takes experience with strains that are well known to the skilled grower.

Good gardener, Same massive yields.... Maybe hydro finishes faster, but by what 7 days 10 days so no biggie. Theres been journals on here where guys/girls have Chopped at 63 days on a fine ass og run(super fucking dank) in soil. Think his name is @sleezy1 back in 2010 with those purple Led lamps. Had awesome yields if i remember right.
