I have an aerogarden so i don't normally do soil grows but this year just to experiment i went out and bought some miracle grow soil and planted two seedlings in it. so far they are really healthy looking and seem to love the soil but only time will tell. :peace:(note) the 1st seedling i planted in the mg soil has the fattest leaves i've ever seen on a seedling.

I dunno what that 2nd post was, ha ha ha!!:cuss: I've heard using more plain soils is better than others that supposedly feed for 3, 6 or 9 moths. The time release fertilizer in it is really unpredictable, like if you flush your plant, they might all release at once and burn your plant up. Plus if your adding nutes you could be givin too much if your soil already has alot. When you add the nutrients to the water and add yourself i think is more controlled. I dunno too much about what to mix in with the soil but I hope that helps.

Oh ya, by the way...
What the hell is up with everyone and their Aero Gardens? They can get like a foot tall unless you buy like the 200 dollar extension. The lights are only for aero gardens and apparently its not too strong as i noticed some "beefing up" on your lights. Its pretty amusing how many people have 9 cfl's around 1 plant. Metal halide and HPS is the way to go. If your gonna spend that much money on your girls, you need to let them get big and strong.

Hi, Bob ...

Here's an excellent mix:

2 parts Schultz's "Potting Soil Plus."
1 part Perlite.
1 Part Vermiculite.
1 Part Worm Castings.
Add one SMALL handful of Granulated Dolomite Lime per each two gallons of mix.

Make sure to stay away from time release fert soil. The ppm or nutes can be unstable and hard to control ending up in nute burn.
