i've been using miricle grow moisture control and so far my girls are loving it. fox farms ocean forrest is another good soil but you have to pay extra for the bad ass graphics they print on the bag.

^MG is a much better deal, actually. It comes complete with a shitload of fungus gnat larvae, ready for your growing pleasure.

I've used it, and agree, it works great, especially with perlite added. If it was sterilyzed, I'd switch back from FF, for good.

E.B. Stone Edna's best potting soil shares many of the same ingredients as FFOF and is HALF the price.

They both need perlite, or something to lighten them up though.

PBH can substitute for perlite, costs less, isn't dangerous to your lungs, and adds silicon which can help with blooms.

Hard to get in some places though. Make sure it's "parboiled" rice husks, or you'll get rice seedlings.

If your going to use nutrients later on.

Dr, Earth's potting soil (black, gray and white bag)
Black Gold
Potters Gold

No particular order.....

FF soils work but, have issues in several area's down the road.....

NO MG soils!

I personally use either Roots Organic or FFHF and amend the heck out of it with organic dry fertilizers. I never measure anything, just go by eye. My plants are always lush green right up until the last 20 days of flower. When I use FFHF I have to amend just a little more because its a relatively light mix for seedlings and clones.
