Solar Rips: who else loves em?!

I think it might actually sufficiently vaporize all the cannabinoids without any loss. I think straight combustion from lighter you lose cannabinoids but this might allow you get all of them, if not most of them.

maybe someone knows the difference between solar radiant heat and lighter combustion could chime in here.

With straight combustion you're losing about 50%.

Solar rips don't seem to be as hot. You can burn someone with a lighter easily, but it takes time for them to start feeling a concentrated beam of light. This alone shows that you would recieve more cannabinoids than combustion.

I've never heard of /that/ much of a loss . . . . . .

this is definitely worth looking into.

solar rips are definitely hella hot, I've almost burned myself twice on accident, and it DOES work quite fast. not as fast as a lighter but pretty damn fast if you're tanned ;).

It would have to be at least 50%, in my opinion. Vaping a bowl nets you three balloons of vapor, which equals out to about 18-24 hits of pure goodies. Combusting a bowl gets you what, 8-10 hits of smoke?

I just don't think you can postulate such a thing without real lab tests. not just observing the amount of vapor you get out of a vaporizer in comparison to the amount of smoke you get out of the same bud.

we need to figure out if actual THC is being broken down into uselessness.

so far I don't think anyone here is going to have the time/recourses to test such things.

We don't need to speculate about it. Chemistry tells us that it would be broken down. The extent of the breakdown is the only thing unclear.

yeah it actually has direct advantages over a lighter.

it's wind proof

and you can conserve the green way easier because it doesn't travel out of control like a lighter.

my zong is fucking huge, it's been kind of stormy lately so not too much time for solar rips.

but I was hiking on my camping trip past 3 days, and at the top of a mountain I did toke a bowl solar status :D.
