Mexican is also a dialect of Spanish, as is Puerto Rican, as is Spain Spanish.

lool. There is no such thing as Mexican dialect or puertorrican dialect. Its all Spanish, the only thing it changes is the accent but is all spanish, a dialect is actually something that is not recognized as a language, example: From tribes and indians and shit..

I don't mean to argue with you, but there definitely are dialectical differences between Mexican Spanish and Puerto Rican Spanish. Mexicans say "Pinche" and "gue/hue," and they pronounce the syllables.
Phonetically, PR Spanish sounds like
"Como et-dah" whereas Mexicans say "Como ess-tahss"
