solution to acidic soil...??

hello riu.,, i will be starting a new grow this summer and my soil outdoors is too acidic.. my spot is wayy too far to toat in soil.. and i think hard of toating in the shovel and pick to dig the holes.. i have already brought in 2 big bags of sawdust from a local person that cuts up wood for camping.. i was going to mix a shovel full into the soil that i take out of the holes that i dig for the plants.. each hole will be about 2'x2'x3' and i will beat upp all the soil and take out most rocks before i place back in the hole...

my question is.. i don't have acess to lime to bring the soil ph down so what else could i add to each hole in order to bring the ph to the desired range.. (baking soda?)

Alot of places carry lime. Ya need to look into it.

yea ive read bakin soda works
and some people use vinger as well to make it more acidic

yeah i know that it grows good but.. my soil is highly acidic.. but i think i'll try some baking soda on a few holes and then try to find some Dolmite lime to put on a few... would it be better to add it to the top of the soil when i have dug the hole and put it back in.. or would it be better to add it while i have the dirt out of the hole and spread out on a tarp?

any idea how much roughly? because i was thinking of picking up a 20kg bag.. that way i could keep it out there..

You only need like 3/4 of a coffee can amount mixed into your soil. Water the holes and check them in a week. That should do the trick. Good farmen.

My bad, garden lime, as others have said is the best bet for the money.

yeah.. thankss.. so my plan is to put about a handful on top of each hole after i fill them back in again.. then water.. should that be sufficient?
