Some advice on co2

I'm building a 700 square foot area and wondering how fast a bottle of co2 is depleted when trying to keep co2 at 1,200 ppm. I have 8 foot ceilings. I don't want to run natural gas burners as they generate too much heat and humidity. Any advice helps.

Thanks

Im pretty sure your square footage/cubic feet takes you out of the realm of using bottles. Generators are the only option i think. Wait for others to be sure, but back when i was researching co2 enrichment for my own garden pretty sure thats what i read.

You would need a big ass co2 tank bro. Probably one for a convenience store that has a post-mix beverage dispenser. If you can maintain a700 square foot area maybe thats not out of the realm of possibility for you... I just use a 20lb tank.

yeah that's quite the space idk mutch about co2 but ik it doesn't go far with tanks and the cost for refill wouldn't quite be worth it.

So do you think a generator would be better ? But don't those create A LOT of heat and humidity ?

A generator would be cheaper maybe. Aren't they like 3-400 plus propane refills? I used to use one in an overpowered, under air conditioned room and it would get hot hot hot.

Get a 12inch in line fan sitting on a big can filter to keep your air moving my rapido

So you're saying it would get so hot that you would have to have it in a separate room ? Btw I have a lot of funding available for this room so I'm looking for the best setup not concerned with price

I go thru a bottle every 7-8 days on 1200/1500ppm in a 8x12x6.75 room with fuzzy logic setting. not sure if it helps.

Just get a Marey 5L. Pipe water to the unit and put a solenoid before the unit, have the CO2 controller operate the solenoid. Just trash the waste water. If you try to recycle it often gets too hot for the unit to fire and even with pool pucks in there some super crazy bacteria ish will grow.

Edit to add: the water removes ~85% of the heat generated. Still will put a shit ton of moisture in your room though. I.e., be prepared for multiple dehumidifiers if you're sealed.

I never had luck with generators, always have heat issues even when water cooled. 15% is still a lot of heat. If your room is sealed good, it doesn't take much to maintain co2 levels. Check with your bottled gas distributor. In my area, they will lease you whatever size tank you want up to a couple thousand pounds, and they will deliver and top it off whenever you want. The cost is also half the cost of filling small bottles. The tighter your room is sealed the less co2 you'll need regardless of what you use. This is all just my opinion though :)

Thanks man. I'm probably gonna go with the bottles and when I build it make sure it's sealed well. I've also heard you really only need it during light off period, or am I wrong ?

I run my my co2 from 30 minutes after lights on, to an hour before lights off. They only need more co2 when lights are on.
