hi
im pretty new to all this...and have just finished my second grow...i have a clone box, a small room with a 400mh light and then another small room with a 600hps..and im currently doing three plants in each, for eight weeks at a time.
i have a few problems...i am using dutch master gold and following directions exactly, plants are growing well except both times i have encountered top rot. my first grown the plants were given to me when they had already been in flower for two weeks and had been given a suplement to stop growth and give bigger buds i think it was called rock flower juice...i didnt give it to them so im not sure if thats the name. from this grow i got med dense buds.
the second grow i just used the exact nutrients as outlined on the dutchmaster web site for gold....but didnt add any of those supliments that make the buds dense. i thought this would help with the mold. and have read some bad things about those superbud type things and didnt want to use it if it was bad...
i got long colas this time and a great harvest however the buds are not dense but really look like a good outdoor grow. and i did get some mold on the queen buds...and lost about 3/4ounce wet when i cut it out.
i would like to get those dense buds tho and wonder how this is done...if i do use those suplements which one is best and how much and when would i use it.
i also noticed that the leaves started to go yellow in about the fifth week of flowering and i wrote to dutchmaster but they said it was normal at that stage...i looked up some stuff on google and to me it seemed like a nitrogen deficency from the pics...the thing is even on the colas when harvesting quite a few of the little leaves needed to be pulled out and not just trimmed cos they too were yellow...it wasnt just the big leaves.
i have a fan in each room...but i am wondering if i am not getting enough fresh air into the room...ive read so many things and would really appreciate some advice...im new to all this...and my friend who helped me set up is no longer here or available to ask.
