Some buds at top 50/50, others clear/cloudy?

Just wondering opinions on whether or not to harvest my first plant...I used a 30x microscope to see that the top, older buds were about 50/50 cloudy/amber but the lower, younger buds are more clear or cloudy...should I wait a bit longer? and how long-until all buds are 50/50?

yea just wait it out....

You could do a partial harvest of the top canopy, then let the ones lower down on the plant ripen up for a couple extra weeks. That way after you cut the top ones off you can lower your light closer to the bottom buds too, light penetration is probably the reason for the uneven maturation.

Thanks...I just thought that any cutting now might harm the plant....she is not very big. I will try what you said though and lower the light until the others are 50/50.

Naw, a healthy plant is a resilient plant. I took all the tops off one plant seven days ago, and the bottoms are swelling up nicely. There was no apparent stress caused by this. While I'm sure there was stress, it was not severe enough to manifest as disease.

I completely agree. Everybody always seems to jump down my throat about plant stress, well isn't there some degree of truth to "what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger?" I think topping, training, and things like partial harvest can help you a lot more than hurt you, my plants always seem to bounce back fast. I definitely noticed more swelling of the bottom buds after the colas came off. A human example would be a deaf person, all of their senses become enhanced to at least some degree to compensate for their lack of hearing. Life has a knack for evolving to fit its surroundings, and if you chop off those top buds, that plant will try like hell to grow more bud to get itself seeded. To bad its all for naught hahaha.
