Some general questions/ how to save my plant?

Okay, so my gf (whom I didn't want to know I was growing) came over for 3 days so I didnt get time to check on my plant rlly besides turning the lights on and off.

I WAS using blue cold cathode lights, and it was right after I gave it 48 hrs of pure darkness (I heard you need to do that to start it flowring and it helps ensure its a female) and was giving it straight 12/12 lighting. the plant had a total of ten leaves on it, and I THINK 4 pistils are coming out (2 near the lower largest leaves and 2 at the very top, I'm not sure though, here's a few pics, but theyre really crappy (2.0 megapixels). But anyways, as you can see, the two round leaves are pretty much fuckin dead, but the rest of the plant is green. I'm guessing this is due to a nitrogen deficiency, but I've just been using normal water and soil from my mom's garden so I need to know some way to save this thing.

the first (round) set of leaves naturally die, its not a deficiency. it looks like you started flowering really early. i dont really know what you mean by save... they are just gonna flower (very small) if they are female. what do you mean 10 leaves? you talking about a different plant? just stick with 12/12 and you might get like a gram out of that little guy.

I just thought it was weird that it was so small, I mean it's been growing for at least a month and a half now. But it's good to know that those leaves are supposed to die. And by 10 leaves total I mean that there are ten leaves on it, you cant see too well in the pic. but there are things coming straight up out of the stem at some of the leaf nodes, so I'm guessing they are the pistils because on a male they are just pods that arent opened up, right? and also, after it flowers and I get the buds off of it, it will start growing them again or do I have to grow an entirely new plant?

One final question, what should I do to make the plant sturdier and less of a pussy? It seems right now that even if a small bud grew on it, the thing would fall over.

well what I'm using now is just a normal 36" fluorescent bulb, and keeping the plant hung about 2 feet or so away from the light.

thats your problem. if you want to stick with the flourescent, you need to drop it down REALLY close to your plants. I have my 600w hps closer to my plant than that.
