some help with a dishwasher setup

Hi guys, forgive any stupid questions I'm a complete noob at this, I can grow penicillin in a coffee cup but that's about the extent of my growing experience.

I've done a fair bit of reading / planning and liked the look of some of the fridge conversions zone people have done, then just yesterday my dishwasher gave up the ghost. voila! We have our growbox.

Internal dimensions are 21"wide x 20"deep x 24"high

So I'm looking for some advice

1. Is this enough space?
Its roughly the same size as a fridge so I figured it would be.

2. Strain / number of plants
If someone could give me an idea of which strains would do well in this limited space is was thinking maybe these let me know what you think

3. Lights.
I was thinking 250watt cfl should light it up ok, Hung on a chain to raise / lower

4. Ventilation.
Once I've stripped all unnecessary parts, two holes in the floor, there will be a small space under the floor of the growbox where pump and motor used to be. Then cut a hole in the back, at the top to mount a large pc fan to blow out.

5. Odour.
Any ideas on how to combat smell.

Think I've covered everything I wanted to ask if I've missed anything please let me know.

I'll post some pics once I get started

Thanks

it's a great idea...
the thing is though that you are going to have to drill holes for venting ...
so you are going to need some skills :)

room is fine, remember people grow weed even in computer all you need is to organize your room ;)
and get a low profile strain like this white dwarf
anyway great idea still

I'll have a go at answering some of your questions

1. Is this enough space?
Height-wise, don't expect anything MASSIVE, however with scrog, you could make use of the width.

2. Strain / number of plants
Well, any strain (excluding the ones designed to grow tall) can be kept in any size container if you treat it right, and use the correct techniques! (In this case scrog and/or lst)
And the amount of plants will be determined in the strain you use, and the size of the dishwasher.

3. Lights.
If you coat the inside of the dishwasher with a reflective material, (No, not the current chrome interior) then a 250w CFL could do the trick, depending on how many plants you need.
Although, make sure you can change the height of the light, as you'll need to move it up again higher once the plants mature

4. Ventilation.
Sounds good to me! Although, what about intake?

5. Odour.
It depends where you are going to vent out to.
Either a carbon filter, or a well positioned ona odour eater block would do the trick.

Good luck on doing something like this! I've never seen pictures of it done before.
So I'll be keeping an eye on this.
