Some questions about my plants...

So I recently decided to start growing my own little stash, figured since it's my first real attempt at growing, I would start with a few plants (assuming many would die off through out the process.) Well, after about the first few days, I had some pretty nice little plants (maybe a about 4 inches in height, cotyledon's all gone, so germinating lol) But after about the second week the plants have very long stems that cannot support the weight of the leaves. Now I have these plants in what I believe are the correct growing conditions (lights temp etc..) These plants are in plastic cups (for now) with the soil. This has happened about three times now. should I try some sort of "splint" for the plant or change the growing conditions?

Thanks for the help in advance!

What type of lights are you using? You need florescent or HID and keep them as close as possible to prevent stretch.

Use a bamboo shish kabob skewer as a stake

Yeah, sorry I'm currently on vacation so I dont have them in front of me. when I get home I'll be sure to post some pics.
No, no fan. But I will set one up. Thanks!
I actually have some bamboo stakes in my garage =]

Edit: OH! and my light set up is just a 90 watt green bulb (Recommended from Weedsthatplease.com)

transplant them and bury the stems with soil right up to the first set of leafes.
simple as that and get a proper grow light.
