Dude, if you got some good generic topsoil, then your sweet. You can grat ferts and nutes in a couple weeks when your plant will need it. Remember this though - all soil has natural nutrients in it, and the plant will feed off of those for as long as it can before it needs additional nutrients. Your soil is perfectly fine dude, plant away. Just some additional advice though - dont go out to walmart n pick up some miracle grow or anything like that. Ive had a bad experience my 1st grow with MG and its really easy to give your plants a bad case of nute burn, especially if your a newbie and you dont know what to do.
If you can, hit up a home depot or lowes, and pick up some more regular topsoil, and some regular perlite. If your going to home depot, they have vermiculite and worm castings too, at a really good price (it wont break your bank man, trust me). So use what u got for now, and whenever your ready to start with the additives, start another thread for us to check out, and well help you from there. Also, check the FAQs out. theres pretty much answers in there for everything.
Sorry to keep on goin on, but another thing you should know - leave your plant in this soil for at least 3 weeks. You want your plant to get big enough to the point that when your ready to put it into new soil, the transplant wont shock your plant too badly.Like i said, just either start a new thread, or you can just hit me up and ill help u out if i can. Im on my 1st grow right now(in flowering), and ive actually transplanted like 4 or 5 times because i wasnt satisfied with what i had my babies growing in.
