Something nefarious is going on in the grow room

Been battling with these plants for weeks now. Been holding off flowering until get it sorted but had to flip today. It does look like a mag def (interveinal chlorosis, hard, red stems) But i have been foilar feeding calimagic. I have cuts from them in perlite hempy, peat/perlite and organic. All showing same symptoms. Is this some kind of virus?

Its quite simple a Mg deficiency.

Treat it as such.

Calimagic is probably best designed for root drench application.

Mg deficiency can happen for a number of reasons.

PH outside uptake range.

EC of rootzone too high for uptake of Mg to occur.

Not enough Mg in your soil mix or nute regime.

I got a jar of magnesium sulfate heptahydrate laying around. You think this will work better than the calimagic? Also what is confusing me if i have run under same conditions (water/nutes) and never had these issues. And the hempy with perlite and being fed 3 part GH nutes should not be having mag def??

Water with calmag, dont foilar feed. Also, maybe you should try to figure out why this is happening. Ph? Bad water? Anything different from older grow?

Different strains can have different demands for nutrient elements.

Peat is notoriously low on pH.

Unless dolomite lime was added to your hempy mix it could quite simply be that your pH is out of line for uptake of Mg.

Mg uptake in a hempy style system would be above 5.7. Ideally around 5.8.

At. 5.8 both Ca and Mg are available for uptake.

Below 5.8 and calcium is more available than Mg.

This is whats getting me confused. I have everything in correct PH ranges. The only thing i can think of is the tap water and the molecules are too large to be absorbed efficiently and end up accumulating on the outside of the roots

hey bro don't mean to hijack your thread but I'm having the same problem is that my soil pH is at 6.0 trying to raise i it we both have magnesium deficienciesQUOTE="wes2wright, post: 10580407, member: 351253"]Been battling with these plants for weeks now. If you know its cause of low PH then this is easily remedied. Thing is I started in organic when couldnt fix problem i started in 2 extra mediums to try to eliminate medium PH as a cause. I have all 3 mediums water in and out in there correct ranges. They were all cut from original 4 plants. All showing same symptoms. I started 4 new seeds in a seperate room and showing same symptoms.

To me this only leaves 2 options.
1. Tap water - molecules (ca&mg etc) are too large to be absorbed efficiently and end up accumulating on the outside of the roots)
2. virus/disease

Maybe my logic is flawed but i have tried with 3 mediums all with correct PH
