something to think about, how religion spread

ok 'm christioan no need to tear in to me but think about this:

the people who say oh it must be true because it's so complicated"

i just thought of the most terryfying thing of all time that could hold some truth to it:

this is how i see things become common place, some innovator who was always a little different from everyone else thought or started doing something differently that made things either better or just was cooler, then a trendsetter, someone high up in the community or popular saw the person and thought it was cool and started doing it too this trendsetter has a large following so then early adopters startied doing it then everyone else and the only people who didn't were those too stuck in there ways. take the crip walk for example a crip who loved to dance and was good with he's feet came up with it once at the club, he weas tight with he's OG, set leader, or just a popular guy in the gang, showed it to him and he thought it was the shit and did it as a greeting, or a warning, causing the foot soldiers to do it to causing it to spread to other crip sets and then some popular rappers who were crips (eazy-e, snoop dogg) causing it to spread accross the country because of exposure.

now think of this: some religions are based on what people believe or thought to be true but the on that dosen't add up how quickly it spread are the big three: muslim, christianity, and judaism.
what if some innovator realized that people who believed they could whatever they want without any consequences to be really scared about were dangerous people, so they got with a group of philosophers and discussed this the higher ups decided that this could be dangerous also and started spreading these beliefs and imposing it on others causing it's spreading and traditions to carry on, which would mean in the day of modern technology and this and that we are still being controlled by one or a few innovators who believed we would of all killed eachother without fear

god i'm high but it's something to think about

peace :bigjoint::bigjoint::bigjoint:

basically what i am trying to say is that some people saw people as inherently evil and created religion as a form of control to get how they may of done it u have 2 reread the first post srry if i wasn't clear i was really high lol

that has alot of truth in it smarts,it is all about control when you stop and think about it,people have to establish order in some way otherwise we have total chaos on are hands.Because in our nature we are totaly out of control without guidance but im not someone who beleives in blindly following an idea that isnt truly founded in reality. Its like beleiving every single word in the Bible to be totaly true.Just remember that it was created by man so it is subjected to the eb and flow of ideas of what should be and what shouldnt be in it on more levels than most would care to think about.

thnx i thought it was pretty deep i mean it was one of those OMG moments it took me 10 minutes to get up and an 1hr 2 get what i wanted to say rite cuz i was so stoned i had to write it dwn somewhere, and people say there are contradictions in the bible, the more open minded christians i associate with say there are mistakes in the bible, but no contradictions

interesting to say the least

I would call the big 3 Christianity Islam and Hinduism, Hinduism is way larger than Judaism. There aren't a lot of Jews...

But I think religion is a natural response to the unknown. However, in modern times we now know much more than 2000 years ago (way more in the case of Hinduism)

I think in a surprisingly short amount of time we will see more and more people who refuse to follow religion in exchange for reason, as well as a radical shift in the doctrines of these religions in response

mine from other thread, I was talking about faith.
But I think it appys...

Ignorance that's irrationally maintained by everyone, like a genetic code.
Call it what you will, from superstition to religion, who's not superstitous?

While, I view religion as a control tool. It's the reason why we looked up and wondered who we are and where we came from.Look at all that has been built for religion. If we didn't maintain these ignorant ideas such as superstition and religion, we wouldn't be where we are today, debating the very fact.
