ah, so no way to do 20-40 hlg or gavitas all at once then?
Nope! Most Sonoffs are limited to 10A/2200w or 16A/3500w because they use 10 or 16A relays. The 4 channel controller has 4x 10A relays, which means it could control up to 8.800w but you need to start the channels poe-a-poe, not all at the same time. To switch 20 gavitas on and off you would need two 4-channel Sonnoffs and one Dual, two thouies per channel(SE).
For 40 you need five 4-channel Sonoffs but they all controlled via the same app and you can virtually interconnect them. Which I would not recommend, because the high inrush current would probably destroy them.
But if you start the channels gradually, that's no problem.
It is also imaginable to exchange the relays for stronger ones to make them more durable against higher currents but I have not tried something like that.

I figured he would gave you a better answer than me. Good info. The sonoffs are pretty awesome though.

Nope,
automatically 3mins less every day is impossible. You need to do it manually! That needs a much more complicated programming. But it's really don't needed to reduce daily. 20mins every week works the same...
the storm does it, as do many others no worries....i have all the equipment to just build an ad hoc esp network and write my own code in microPy. Heck since its mqtt i could probably just do my own take on home assistant.io, but allof that is a bunch of damn work and its gardening season right now, have to read up on a facefront aka ha.io

anyhoo, got a Single and a dual on the way to mess around with the timing functions, I still havent seen them described in detail that I want.

I have the duel. I don't like that it doesn't have an earth wire. Much like the basic. You just have to bypass it. I plan on using it just for oscillating fans.
I also don't think you can do the cycle down every 3 min a day unless you change the firmware. Limited to 8 on/off settings. You could do it if you changed the settings every 3-4 days.

My POW R2 are supposed to arrive Monday.

yep, i believe that is correct about the timer, havent suggested otherwise, and why i keep bringing up home assistant, but nobody has chimed in about it in particular....but I am anxious to try a twenty minute setting every week @Randomblame s suggestion and see if I can change it for 8 weeks, just by switching the 8 presets you mentioned @whytewidow

Have I read correctly that the 4 chans have 20 presets for the timer function? :joint:

no worries on the gound, i prefer it actually, less hassle for a real ground wire :)

Added another Dual yesterday with my new strip/COB based light for the small 3ft.veg area. Two TH10's with temp/humidy sensor and one POW are already ordered and will be added as soon as possible. But I believe It's not a R2 unit(and also no c3po, lol!)
There are probably some hardware differences between both versions so its not only a different firmware. :(Screenshot_20180331-233801.png

nice...are you offsetting the drivers on times at all? or are they both coming on together. I like the liberal use of Meanwell!

Yupp, Meanwells should be the standard...
Channel 1 controls UVB and channel 2 both drivers in once. But I can switch off the HLG-60 manually if I want. Are only about 150w and the heatsink is also diy ...Max. temps 46,4°C(3h max.), 2 pot's and a switch for the FS-strips.png

That's sad, mate, and not good behavior!
Every form of attack and stalking I strongly condemn. This is really not fun and has brought people to self-murder. Have not heard from him here for a long time and don't know what he says, so unfortunately I can not say anything more about it. But if that's true its not the fine english kind!

Drawback is you can't attach a humidity/temperature sensor to the POW or POW R2. You can still trigger them from other sensors.
cheers

Awesome. I'm gonna have to order or pow one. I have digital display but it's on the actual light. In the tent. So I can only see when I'm in there. Be nice to have the wattage and voltage on my phone so I can check on it while I'm at work. I do have a Wi-Fi camera in the tent. That pans and and tilts. But I can't see the display. But I can see all my plants. It also has nught time. So I can see them during lights out. So it' kinda cool. I tried to upload a video of it. But it' way big. It streams live in HD

I like the sonoffs.. but just remember to check them from time to time if they are working...some days ago their servers went off for about 24 hours...Just have a plan B...
For me they help a lot to mantain correct VPD values

The unflashed one I have was offline for 3 days last week! That's why the rest have all been flashed with Tasmota and controlled by Home Assistant. Kinda a pain but I like not relying on Itead.

Anyone use these to make a drying cabinet? I'm thinking I can IKEA hack a cabinet, use one Sonoff with a mini humidifier, one with a mini dehumidifier and one to control the fan. Should be able to regulate the cabinet that way and keep everything in a nice cure range. Figured I'd ask cause you all are a pretty smart bunch and if someone's already experimented I won't have to reinvent the wheel!

I am in the process of building something like this now. I got a tall towel cabinet for the bathroom from Wal-Mart. It seals. Kinda nice for 75 bucks. But ima hack the shit outta it. I cut holes in the bottom and top. Installed some 100mm fans. Two on top two on bottom. They will each be controlled by a sonoff th10 with temp/humi sensor. One monitoring humi the other temp. And I'll set the values to keep it how.i want it....

Edit: I seen someone posted theirs went offline the other day. Mine hasn't missed a beat yet.

You going to use a dehumidifier and humidifier as well or just the fans?
