I certainly did not mind seeing this one wake up.

SK is an amazing breed. It is one of my keepers, along with
Somango, Holy Grail Kush, and a few others. The flavor and
strength are both very good. I got no balls tho.

One thing that struck me is that yours grew with much more classic
Kush structure. Mine was *a bit* of a wanderer...just a hair...

BTW: Your ladies look perfectly happy. Nice work.

JD

P.S. LOL, I can see my photos still up there. Mmmm that was a nice plant.
My first grow, which I recently harvested, was Sour Kosher and Holy Grail Kush. Love them both, but that Holy grail is definitely my favourite

Here's the thread: http://rollitup.org/t/my-first-grow-real-slow.894457/

And here's a pic of my Sour Kosher:

well, you rocked it, I can tell you that, easily.

Honestly, but with humor, you probably should not have started
with two better/stronger/funkier breeds than SK and HGK. These
are two of my favorites among all of the breeds that I have grown.
It is like it is all downhill from here.

No, there are so many more, but you sure started well.

Good luck!

Incredible job damnsmoker! What is your setup?
I got the cheapest 4' X 4' tent money can buy, a couple of 1000W surplus digital ballasts for $100 each, a 1000W MH bulb and two 1000W HPS bulbs (my tent was full of flowering plants and my veg area was getting over crowded, so I decided to start flowering them). I also got a 420 CFM fan with a controller, a couple of timers, some Promix B, and some pots. Simple and easy. :)

I got some clones for Reserva Privada Kosher Kush and it was unlike anything I've ever grown out. Grew over 3x the size in first 3 weeks of flower (-yikes, I wasnt ready for that). Buds were heavy and needed to be tied up everywhere. Displayed a creamy sweeter smell and taste so I can relate to the eggnog comment, nothing diesel like at all. One of my all time favorites(among family and friends as well). I'd love to get some genetics from RP for the Kosher Kush again.

I totally agree with the sweeter smell !!! I don't know what it is but the closest thing I can relate it too is a bag of fruit loops and fresh candy !

Yes, the "Sour" brings the Diesel into the mix. Both are great smokes though.

Kosher Kush has made some of the best crosses...and when you cross it with
another breed for which this is true, say Tangie, then you might refer to the cross
as "24 Karat". :0)

This thread woke up to show off some nice work.

How is the stretch with SoKo? How many phenos?

I wanted to try either Holy Grail or Kosher Tangie, but Sour Kosher sounds interesting too! :bigjoint:

It is a wonderful smoke.

Mine stretched, but it also kinda wandered a bit....it was not a
Pine Tree but a shrubbery.

The stretch was maybe 1X....where HGK might have gone 3X

Good luck,

JD

Thanks mate. How is the yield on Sour Kosher? Does it respond well to training?

Have you ever grown Kosher Tangie? I've heard it has poor branching and does best in SOG. Is that correct?

I found it to have a moderate yield at best. It does not make
giant top nugs....more of like little apples all over the shrub. :0)

I am only growing KT for the first time right now. We will see.

Good luck

Sour kosher day 16 of flower. She has good resin production for so early in flower and already has a fruity og smell. She looks like she has descent potential to yield modestly. So far I say she is leaning more towards the kosher side due to her smell and she looks nothing like the ecsd clone I ran years ago. Hard to see from the shitty picture but I tied her down to side of the pot with wire ties. She was 22" tall from top of pot, without tying she would be 28"-30". I'm digging her so farimages.jpg

Nice looking lady you got! She looks to be holding up well with those thick stems (much thicker than the KK I've grown). Do you use a silica additive?
Also, are you still getting stretch at 16 days? I know the Kosher stretched like hell and the stems couldn't hardly support the buds.

No silica used, just pure blend pro, cal/mag and some liquid kool bloom in tupur. She didn't stretch too bad on me and is totally manageable. She won't yield the greatest but so far her smell is great like pink starburst. As long as she doesn't herm out she's a keeper so far, well if she taste like she smells anyway. Defiantly kosher leaning.

She is now at 49 days flower and has swelled up a bit and should be a nice plant weight, resin prod., and smell/hopefully taste too. The smell is still a sweet grape/berry scent that has no hint of marijuana to it. I'll chime back in has she matures up but so far she's worth another round.

She's the one on the left by herself.

Well, she is lovely. Great structure and looking to be well filled in.

I think that my SK leaned toward the Diesel side. It was the flavor, very
funky, that I loved. Need to get a clone back from my bro.

Thanks for sharing. That will end well.
