Sp3000 or Diablo 350r for a 2x4?

Both would work great in a 2x4

The PAR map for the SP3000 is outstanding, and is considerably less expensive than the HLG option.

Seems like the par difference and price point make it hard not to just get the sp3000, also my first grow as well.

im willing to invest in a great light, but if I can get a great light for a great price I’m in as well.

Be aware you're not comparing apples to apples.
The SP300 par map I posted was in a 4x2 at 50cm
The HLG is in a 5x3 space at 40cm so will look less impressive toward the periphery
Either light will not be your limiting factor in a 4x2

I run a 350 diablo in a 2 x 4. Great light, top quality control during manufacturing and lifetime aftersales service. I sleep easy knowing the place wont burn down. The heatsinks and the Inventronics drivers are amazing, only ever get luke warm.

The only issue is the design of the board requires at least 18 inches head room, otherwise the middle is a bit of a dead spot. If you have the head room then its great for a 2 x 4. Johnny Holmes type penetration.

Saying all that I'd be open to a Mars light in here when the diablo shits itself. The gaps narrowed considerably.

Both are good choices - HLG has rock solid customer service. I personally run HLG lights perpetually and they have been going strong since 2015.
So the build quality is there.

Mars Hydro has upped their game a bit too , not to crazy about the conformal coating they put on the led boards but they do produce.
Vipar Spectra is also another vendor here on RIU @ViparSpectra and am currently testing a lamp for them ( 2x2 ) . With other members also testing their lights in actual grows.

HLG is in Tennessee and no worries on getting support help from them. I tested their BLACKBIRD rig ( 3x3 ) and really like what it does.

I think you should lurk the grow journal forum for ideas of what users are using in their grows and make your decision .

Good Luck :weed:
