Space Bomb Dude's Offsprings under LEDs

Welcome to my new thread everyone,

It's been over a year now that I got into growing more seriously, even though what I am doing isnt serious at all, I am having fun, I hope you respect that!

So back in September was my first time fooling around with pollen and I got some seeds from sprinkling Agent Orange pollen on a Chemo bud (Jordan of the Island) Agent Chemo are currently growing in my garden and they are all great little plants 12/12 from seed.

I guess I was hooked from the first time I germinated my own seed

A couple months later, sometime in November, I had to do it again. I setup to use my tent as a ''breeding room'' not knowing what I was doing. I had ordered 2 Space Bomb seeds and they were both in the same container, when one turned male and the other female, I felt like it was meant to happen and that space bomb dude was going to be my next dude (sorry for the purist, there was not even another male to pick from!)

Needless to say my plan changed after I realized how silly it was to attempt Subcool's breeding technique in my basement. So just before it got big enough to ruin all flowering plants, I cancelled and took the male out and I placed it by a window seal.

Well apparently the dude had started doing it's thing and I found myself getting more seeds than I had asked for, but in a brilliant way! All the seeds were on the stems so I was able to grow her out normally and have been toking on her since ... my favorite jar for the last joint of the day. I got about 100seeds.



Currently growing in my garden, are the babies!! I have a few questions that were left unanswered so if someone can answer them, here I go again:

Does it look like a tiny bomb pheno?
What are the odds of finding the tiny bomb pheno in my stash of seeds?


But anyway, She is not the reason for this new thread, her brother is.

What happened after pulling space bomb dude out of the room is I was able to flower him with daylight and I managed to collect the smallest amount of pollen which I have used on many different strains that were growing in my garden at the time. So this new thread will be about their offspring.

I pollinated all buds on November 15th and believe it or not, I am already growing out the babies!

Let's take a look at them, I will try to post pics of them weekly. For now they are all going 12/12 from seed and I have a bunch more seedlings that will be sexed and vegged.

I am not sure of which one is which for now but I am going to list what I got:

2 x 2 spacebombs (4 , 2 containers)
2 SB x NYCD - soma
2 SB x Medicine - next gen ( I have many of those from different Medicine plants, I am super excited about this cross, one of the female had a very special pussy smell, tiny yield though)
2 SB x GrapeGod - next gen
2 SB x Violator Kush - barney
1 SB x Haoma - house of the great gardener

Also I found 8 seeds in the White Widow and I got 2 of them germinating now.

Wow man I'm so glad to see you giving a breeding a try! It's always been something I wanted to try but never had the space or time. Honestly, seeing people breed for the first time is way more interesting to me than seeing what the Big Wig breeders are doing. YOU DONT NEED A LOT OF SPACE OR TIME! I did it 12/12 from seeds and the turnover was very quick!

I am going to tell you what I did and what you need to do to make seeds, but I really don't know what I am doing other than it worked for me

Its very easy, you buy TGA regular seeds (and or any other breeders you like, start with strong genetics anyway)

2 weeks into flowering or when it has many balls but they are still very immature (you really dont need a lot of pollen to get many seeds, a tiny male plant would do, don't even veg it) Choose a male you like, and kill the rest of the males.

The earlier you take the male out, the safer it is (as far as not having seeds in the buds you dont want seeds...)

So you place the male by a window FAR from the grow room with a tray around the stalk, water it and forget about it for a week or so (if you had to pull the male out you can have it in a glass of water it should be enough to produce viable pollen) After a week you can look daily and even try to collect it with from the plant.

If you see pollen on the tray, that's all you need ! a little will goes a long way. So you harvest the pollen and you can cut it with corn starch I believe at a 1 part pollen to 5 part corn starch. It helps to spread the pollen on many buds.

So when the light goes off, you take the female(s) you want to make seeds with out of the grow room and go in a separate location FAR from the grow room. Cover the bud(s) you want to pollinate with a plastic bag, Soak the whole plant down with a spray bottle, you want to do this early in flowering so that the buds are very small, dont be shy spray lots of water on the buds. Now remove the plastic bag, pollinate the DRY bud(s) using a CLEAN make up brush with your mixture of starch and pollen.

Let the plant sit in the dark for 4 hours with NO AIR MOVEMENT, a closet works great for this. Return 4 Hours later and soak the plant(s) once again, this time all of it including the pollinated bud(s), especially the pollinated bud(s), you want to rinse the plant VERY WELL as well as the container and the soil, water will make the pollen non viable.

Now Place many portable fans around to dry the plant, and return the plant when the light comes on again 8 hours later, it's a good idea to soak the pollinated bud(s) one more time here.

Ok that's how you create a nice stash of seeds for yourself, friends and family. I recommend you do research if you decide to attempt it but that's how I did it (or how I would do it next...)

Every plants this upcoming run are from my own seeds at the exception of 2 plants. I am waiting for Harley (harlequin cross from tga??) to come available as well. But it's very satisfying, I can't wait to smoke my own buds from my own seeds!

great info man! Thanks for taking the time to explain your process. This is definitely something I will be trying in the near future. Couple quick questions. When you say far from the grow room, do you do it on a different level of your house or just a different room? Also, you said you should soak it one last time before you put it back in the grow room, is that without drying again or are you saying soak it again, dry, and then in the grow room?

well if the bud is close to the light, you want to dry it again, it's mostly to be on the safe side, if you truly rinsed well the first time it should be ok but I prefer to rinse it off twice.

When I say FAR I mean as far as you can hehe. My garden is in the basement so I had my male by a window on the second floor... most importantly you want it somewhere with very little air movement because if you have it next to a heater or anything moving the air around it, then it is possible for the pollen to make its way to your grow room. But dont be scared, if your male is tiny and you kill it as soon as you have the pollen you need, there is no need to worry. Worst case scenario is a a few odd seeds where you didnt want them ... but nothing that would ruin your crop!

That is all the info I can give about making seeds, I am a real noob and the reason for this thread is not intended to be tutorial , but simply to show what a noob can do when noob starts with high quality genetics.

Not much is happening with the Space Bomb's kids, But I chopped my first Agent Chemo last night and I thought this would be a good place to post the pics. All the buds are purple inside, I cracked them open and ALL the calyxes are purple... Smells like orange but not as much as Agent Orange, Chemo doesnt have much of a smell to start with but this cross has a very pleasant combination of the 2 ... very sweet smell!!

Looking pretty shweet there. Ive kept a male Critical Mass and a male Kandy Kush that im going to try and pollenate a branch on each of my current crop to see what i get. I hadn't figured out how i was going to do it yet but I might give your way a try

I am currently sexing a bunch more including SB X WW, SB X CHEMO. The WW I used is total fire, I had a clone of it that I am just about to harvest, I will show pics soon
