Space Buckets, 130w CFL + 6x3w LED. SpaceJill, LSD and Gigabud!

Air quality hasn't been a problem for me, even though I keep my buckets in a not-very-well-ventilated shed.

I don't think stagnant air is a problem, but that may vary with your location and weather variables... I have two fans (one intake one exhaust) to keep things circulated.

Good luck man!

Howdy fellow growers!

I have another update on my plants :)

This is Gigabud at day 20F. Fun weeks are ahead! This plant ended up needing 1 spacer for the stretch, so I'm very happy with its performance so far. Right now I have the main bucket, a stacked 18w LED spacer, and a light-top with 5 bulbs for 134w of CFL.

And here is LSD at day 23F. This plant is definitely a challenge! I'm having a lot of bucket-fun. She is still stretching, but is not very drastic. I decided to anchor and rearrange 3-4 tall tops, you can see some of the string inside the bucket. I aimed for a more even canopy, trying to delay the third stacked spacer... I'll probably have to tweak things a bit, but I like how it turned out. Looks like a tall torus, or something.

Cheers! Comments and suggestions are always welcome. You can click on the images to zoom in.

You should start selling grow buckets, man. Even if not for a ton of profit, you could make a few a week, make some dollars off of it, and spread the bucket-growing phenomenon even more! haha

Hey there! Thanks for the comments :)

I bring you more updates on my plants.

Here is Gigabud at day 25F, budding nicely so far. Lovely strain, minimal stretch and very fast flowering.

And here is LSD at day 28F! I'm using two anchor points to lower the height of the taller tops, I've been readjusting the strings every other day. Stretch should be stopping soon.

Cheers! Hope you like 'em. You can click on the images to zoom in.

Howdy fellow growers!

A week has passed, I bring you another update on my bucket plants.

Here is Gigabud at day 33F, sailing along.

And here is LSD at day 36F, finally stopped stretching :)

Many cheers

WOW! Excelent fill! It's amazing how you have a bush filling the inside of a bucket AND it's in such an amazing shape! Good job!

Howdy dudes!

I bring you Gigabud at day 40F, about a month left to harvest.

And my new fans have just arrived! This should mean less light leaks, it has tight blades.

Cheers!

And my new fans have just arrived! This should mean less light leaks, it has tight blades.

does that have a steel case? i use fans like that all the time, but mine are like a carbon fiber type material computer fan. they work surprisingly well for small spaces. ought to work great for a bucket.

Yup, they have a steel frame :D I loved the tight blade design, should mean less light escaping from the top. I haven't installed these 8x8 yet, but I had a 12x12 version that was fucking powerful! I expect this little fan to extract awesomely.

Do you find them noisy?
I have to come up with a way to silence my fans a bit. It's not that they are noisy by themselves. It's the way they are glued to my bucket, they make the bucket vibrate and it creates an acoustic resonance that can be heard quite well. it's a little "hum" that attracts the curious minded haha

Does this happen with you?

I was contemplating the idea of wrapping them around with some tipe of cloth and just tight fit them into their holes. this way the cloth would absorb the vibrations and kill the "hum"...
