Ya this run has went decent. Most exicted about the 2 critial purple kush and theres 1 space cookie that has the traits of primo.Hey bud I've been lurking around
Other than that, just waiting for them to finish up so i can switch the room around. Got new lights coming from cutter, new genetics already in solo cups from Useful seeds. So everything is going well.

Purpling has begun for the CPK girls
Their smell has also changed, they have a strong smell of what seems like peanut butter lol. Yes ok I'm high, still smells like peanut butter tho lol
Gelato.og are swelling nicely, very strong juicy fruit smell from this bunch.
I expect another 2 weeks for sure , probably longer for the gelat.ogs
Side note: space cookies are all in jars now. 10.5 ozs off the 3 plants. 1 of the 3 produced real nice smelly/sticky bud, other 2 are mediocre and will go to oil.

Congrats on another batch man. Trim run? Hehe little bit green for sure.....
I'm assuming thats alcohol. Getting quality is all about that "quick wash", my first wash I try not to have the alcohol in contact with the material for more then 30-40 seconds total start to finish. Then I do multiple washes and get more yield, each wash is greener and greener and lower quality.
Also was everything REALLY frozen like atleast 24 hrs? I even wrap a towel around the jar I wash into insulate it and keep it as cold as possible.

Ya this stuff was all frozen for 7-8 days.
I didn't do the qwiso this past few runs.just reg wash ISO. I'm more of the gooey/runny oil that I can suck up in syringes rather than shatter. So I'm assuming pulling some of those extra waxes is what achieves that? I honestly don't know lol
My last run I washed for 2 mins and got the finished texture I was looking for once all the ISO cooked off. This time I washed a little longer, resulting in a bit greener liquid pre cook.
I'll be back in a few hours with the finished product. Glad to see you around bro.

Its not in the wash that gives you that texture. Its using heat to evap the alcohol that leaves it more runny. Basically, you are decarbing it while you evap the alcohol if you are using heat. Once the oil is decarbed it won't usually want to be shattery anymore and stays more gooey. You can still get that same texture but have a nice clean amber oil if you wanted.

For what it's worth, I don't do the oil except as a "I'm not wasting anything" project.
I do dry-sift for keif to decarb and make budder with. But since that doesn't efficiently get all the goodies I toss that, bud stems, etc. in a jar in the freezer. When it's full I run it with everclear.
I like your tip on the cold though. I'm sticking the everclear in the freezer next time

Just meant that I already had alcohol in the freezer. And I had trim right beside it. The clues were all there LOLDon't drink the trim and smoke the vodka ffs bro

They might choke on the stems. When I pull buds apart for smoking, all those stems go in there too.
One of the changes since having an abundance. I used to pick them clean, now I don't worry about it so much.
