Can I buck freshly harvested buds, put onto drying rack brought to proper moisture levels for cure, then store them into a container until it can be properly hand trimmed? Trying to avoid using auto trimmers since these are exotic indoor buds but I don't have the space to do a full plant hang dry or the man power to do hand wet trim for the entire crop. I haven't seen anyone really do it this way. Ultimately want to have the best quality drying/curing with limited space. Thoughts?

This is how most the big ops do it.

Big leaf, dry, store and then trim sugar leaves as you can.

Id monitor for a week just to be sure you got the right moisture level if you arent used to doing this or u got a new strain

This is what I do dude and I have to trim entire crop by myself. If the plants are dried ready for jars, then I’ll cut off all buds( with leaves on) and put them in mason jars to stop them drying out further, and then work on jar by jar. Takes me about 14 days( 8 hours a day ) to finish 9 plants(3-5 ounce plants) by myself. The important aspect is getting them in jars when there at peak dryness, even with all the leaves on ( I take off big fan leaves) it doesn’t affect overall outcome. Do what you can to try slow the dry as a lot better end product, try and do a whole plant hang, I’d never go back to wet trim, cutting off branches. Hanging the plants whole within 6 days they will shrink quite a bit thus not taking up much space.

Damn bruh you gotta be the slowest trimmer ever.

Me and my boy blast through 3# in 12hrs

Should be able to do 1lb an 8 hour shift.

If there was a graph with the y axis being the amount of popcorn i trim and the x is time trimming it would look like \

The longer I spend trimming im all like fuck this bud. My homeboy be like wtf you doing and grabs it and starts trimming it. Lol.

Im like edward scissorhands trimming. My helper is like half as fast. Pop some headphones on. Blast some speed metal and go to town with my chikimasas.

No smoke breaks. Clear head. The trick is to hate trimming so much you do anything to make it got by fast.

yet another option is to dry them verry slowly, this gives you the oppertunity to dry some at a slower rate and giving you time to trim and jar your buds.
slow drying preserves flavours and smell i can highly recomend it

If you've perfectly dried your buds but not trimmed them and they are ready for jars, but you're not ready to trim yet...I see no reason why you can't store them at proper RH untrimmed until you can get to it. I like dry trimming too, whole plant hang dry, then dry trim. It just turns out better for me that way, not sure if it's the longer drying time or what...I've always thought dry trimming might preserve the terpenes better too.

Dry trimming is quicker IMO. Scissors get less gunked up

Your right, the popcorn takes sooo much longer. Dry trim takes longer too. Also some plants are a pleasure to trim and some are a right bitch. I’ve got pals that will take the popcorn from me so I gotta make it look as good as it can be.

Notice most of you said to hang whole plant but will the results still be similar if I buck it freshly cut then put to dry on a net? Should I remove large fan leaves before putting them on the net? Usually 5 days it'll be ready to cure if I were to do a wet trim so with more leaf on maybe a little longer which is good. I might shake it around as lightly as I can so it doesn't dry flat on one side. Running the humidifier/dehum at 60% then put into turkey bags at around 10-11% moisture content which seems to be the sweet spot for me and my moisture probe keeps rh at around 60. Temperature fluctuates at day and night but usually around 70-50. Sound good?

I prefer hanging. Saves me time on flipping. Though if you are on netting its essential the same thing.

I take big leaves off when the plant is still potted and alive. Once u cut ir and hang it gravity tends to push the branches together and it s a pain in the ass to big leaf at that point.
