I don't think you have to worry much about them being rootbound. I wouldn't put them through the shock of transplanting during flower. Chances are your plant will grow only as much as it's root space (pot size) allows, before any problems from being rootbound are exibited.yes 7 plants in "2 gallon pots"...
with each plant being about "1 foot tall and topped 1 time"...
i am asking this question a little too late in the grow i know but ive transplanted during bloom once or twice in the past..
so do i need to transplant given these factors? or can the babes survive in the small 2 gallon pot without getting root bound?
so i have seven plants already in the 2 gallon but if i needed to transplant into bigger pots... how big or what size pot do i need with
a 2 x 3 foot space and 1 foot tall plants? sorry for repeating myself... hope this clears some things up
Who really knows??? These are straight bag-seed clones! They are small because i had them under a 250w florescent. Are you growing a dwarf strain? They sound really small for that size pot under a decent light.
Okay thats what i was thinking as well... i just wanted some reassurance before i bought big ass pots that i might not need or have the space for! Have you grown in 2 gallon pots?I don't think you have to worry much about them being rootbound. I wouldn't put them through the shock of transplanting during flower. Are they still small? Legit question! Are you growing a dwarf strain? They sound really small for that size pot under a decent light.
No, they look more than a foot though. Are they still small? Legit question!
i will measure them once more fellasNo, they look more than a foot though.
okay i am still experimenting so i will transplant a few or half and see what i get from that. then ill post more pics on day 42 and possibly day 56. depending on how they look.Yes they will get root bound but it is what it is. You could transplant them and if careful it may even do them some good but if it was my newb self I would just leave them. You will have to water them carefully with multiple waterings to help stop the water from just pouring out down the sides of the root ball, been there lol. You'll need to allow for a bit of run off, I used trays and let the water soak into the plant after watering then dump the excess. I'm no indoor soil expert but did a few at first before switching to hydro. When I grew outdoors, I used grow bags and they took multiple waterings to ensure a complete soak. The smaller the bag the more waterings per week .
unless they all look rootbound then transplants for all!okay i am still experimenting so i will transplant a few or half and see what i get from that. then ill post more pics on day 42 and possibly day 56. depending on how they look.
