Spectrometer and new COB

I have no idea, bro. I don’t own a factory.
Haha aight was just curious. The biggest issue with leds for general lighting use is looking straight into the diodes, so I was just imagining people doing that with COBs and blinding themselves lol. But I guess if it's like 20-30 feet above, it wouldnt blind you.

man, i sure wished they made an economical spectrometer, but then again, if they did, it would drastically cut retailer bullshit across the board.

i like the handheld one like a phone size, simple

Ive made one in the past, 2 actually. couldnt get the software optimized correctly for some reason. I also made the cereal box/cd, ..

here is a pic of the spectrum thru the cereal box, and my modded Mars300. Cyan is the magic wavelength. These were just 30 days from seed i believe.

I used the Spectral workbench. This does calibrate the wavelength, but not for the spectral sensitivity of the webcam.

Cree 3000K 80CRI:

It sort of looks similar with the blue, green and red peaks in the correct locations, but it also looks very different to the SPD in the datasheet. For instance, the SPD in the datasheet does not dip like that around the 580nm. Also the blue peak is way too high and the green peak too low.

Osram 730nm:

The color is completely off (a webcam is probably not well equipped to capture far red), but other than that this seems reasonably close to the datasheet.
