Why not decarb your buds of the bat, and convert THCA to THC prior to curing. Quick Dry, then Cure normally.

Hypothetically, SWIM has a guerilla grow, and wants to get all their bud into jars and stashe it away. SWIM doesn't have a place to dry bud; but can find a place to quickly process said bud, and stashe it into jars.

On a side note, roots can be covered to dry out entire plant in preparation for harvest. SWIM wants to test this practice.

Well I already gathered what I needed to know this isn't the best idea, thanks for the useless posts. Seriously though, can I get some input on successful speed drying? Or will the results always be negative?

I'm gonna smoke weed about this. Day dream about my ventures this coming spring. Thanks for your help guys. I just wish someone had creative/scientific input for me to play around with. I'm gonna go back to reading about speed curing with things such as rice and silica.

You can dry your buds fast if you want but it'll be crappy smoke, why would you want to dry fast and lose all that nice smoke?

Thats just drying, rice is a dessicant and just draws moisture out.
Here is the science short for you why you can't speed CURE. Curing is the process of the chloraphyll and other compounds breaking down, and it occurs over a period of weeks and months. It cannot be sped up, because it's a natural process.

Trust me Lil buddy if quick dry was feasible while keeping flavor those of us who have grown commercially would have figured it out. If you don't mind smoking harsh and green tasting weed it can be done though...if you don't mind ugly no taste weed you could look into water curing..this may give you the ability to quick dry and not be harshed out by the smoke. Most of us are willing to help but attitude plays a factor...plus when everyone is telling you the same thing maybe you should listen. IM guessing just between myself and the other people who posted there is over 50 years of knowledge here.

Is it possible to dry plants out as a whole, to the point that they can be trimmed straight into jars? Or is it possible to jar with rice or silica at the bottom of the jar in order to prep for curing without hanging to dry? Rice/silica content would be removed before final jarring which would just be burped occasionally?

I changed the title, sorry. Speed curing isn't what I want, it just jumping from plant in dirt, to buds in jar as quickly as possible.

Nvm, I can't change the title, but it seems to be trolling successfully. I'd still like to chat about this...

Everyone is giving them same answer cause its the truth. You can call it scientific, or whatever. But there is chemical breakdowns that occur during drying and curing that cant be rushed or you will end up with inferior smoke. Theres certain things that just take time, and thats one of them.
