Good to be back for a minute.

Between work, trimming, and life, I've been busy as fuck. Haven't had much time to fart around on the internet. Also haven't had time to paint the interior of the cab (fuck panda film...) for or start up my next round.... Hopefully soon.

try reflectix reflective insulation from home deps. I just got some. Its hot as a volcano out here though. I've been to lazy to move everything to put it up. Paint is cheaper though. Just don't get glow in the dark paint lol.

It's bubble hash, ice water hash, whatever you want to call it. I follow the same basic routine as everyone else.

The key to making good, pure hash is to avoid stirring too rough or too long. You want to dislodge the trichomes without beating the plant material to a pulp.

I make small batches with a 1-gallon bag set. Stir gently but thoroughly with a wooden spoon (not a metal spoon with sharp edges) for about 5-6 minutes.

Alright!!! After a bit of a hiatus, the medicine cabinet is back up and running with a nice new paint job.

I'm nursing six ratty little dispensary clones back to health. 2 Blackberry Kush (center), 2 Cherry Pie (left), and 2 Grape Ape (right). The 2 Cherry Pie showed powdery mildew literally within hours of bringing them home, which makes me think the dispensary just wiped them off or sprayed with water to make them look good on the shelf... Gonna have to keep a close eye on them for the remainder of the grow.

Should be fun!

Welcome back! What is your PM treatment? I would be tempted to toss them given how little is currently invested in them and how long they have to go.

Yeah, I thought about tossing them, but I pretty much assume that every clone from a dispensary has been exposed to PM. These one's just showed it quickly... I chose to run clones this round to give myself a little bit of a head start compared to popping seeds, so I don't want to set myself back even further by starting over.

I'll hit these guys weekly with either dilute Green Cure, Actinovate, or Serenade. I also plan to experiment with horsetail tea. I have no doubt that I'll be able to keep the PM in check and end with a healthy harvest, it'll just take a little extra work.

Skip the green cure! Horsetail will work!!

Thanks for the tip!

I started out by dunking each clone in Green Cure to give the PM an early kick in the ass, but I will definitely be giving the horsetail a try next. My goal from here on out will be to continue a preventative spray routine with enough frequency that I don't see a single speck of PM for the rest of the grow. Just need to be diligent.

I do love the Green Cure, but I'm leaning toward keeping it biological (Actinovate or Serenade) and botanical (horsetail) this round. I feel the Green Cure may be detrimental to the living organisms in the Actinovate and Serenade if I use it in my rotation.

We shall see...

Do you use the horsetail tea as described in the Horsetail Tutorial?

I've already got a bag of dried/powdered horsetail to work with.
Yea nug buckets does a great tutorial.
1oz per half gallon or full gallon i believe,

Cold, hot, cold, strain, use as is. Also can refridgerate what you dont use.

It took about a week for my pm to be wiped out. Every other day spray. Spray surroundings, also safe up unt harvest. this was a year or two ago, ive yet to have pm.

Bugeye - I don't have much experience with the Actinovate as a foliar spray, so can't comment on the spots you're seeing. I do a root drench with it from time to time in the veggie garden, especially for a few disease-prone varieties of heirloom tomato.

I'll take a look at your thread when I have a minute.

horse tail or very light neem works very well. I haven't had to use it since last year. In the desert you never get pm. Plus if you have a good air exchange there shouldn't be any pm either.

I've got great air exchange, but I basically live in a fog bank. There is a LOT of powdery mildew on landscapes, gardens, etc, I'm my area. Even with ideal growing conditions and ample airflow it still shows up from time to time, especially when you bring it home from the dispensary...

Managing it isn't much of an issue, just have to stay on top of it.
