Yes, its harvest time and spider mites snuck up on me and infested the garden. Luckily, they mostly have made webbing under the leaves and have just started come to the buds in some areas.
My questions are as follows (and yes, i have done lots of reading already, and have been growing over 3 years - this being first encounter with mites ):
So, if I just harvest now and cut off all the mites i see - will the mites vacate the plant as it dries, or will they die inside the buds? I plan to hang them.
Also, will the mites live in my house if i trim in another room. Am I inviting trouble? I hear that mites have to feed on living plants, so if there are no plants, i dont see how they will live.
I did consider fogging them, but i instead opted to just harvest a tad early as opposed to a chemical bomb.
Thanks
