I so another thread start by one of RUI members on mites that unfortunally he have in his garden and i have decide to share my input on that for all u folks to prevent or get rid of mites if u have then in ur grow room.
Ok to all u new folks and the old growers , sit back and relax enjoy the reed
this is 'SPIDER MITES BH STYLE'

So u got mites in ur grow room , and u don't know what to do , let ur buddy BH tell u then ...
most often ppl will spray chemicals on plants to kill mites ,
this is only temporary solution !!!
spider mites will return !!!
those chemicals become bud that u smoke . Other ppl will suggest using predator mites witch eat spider mites , the problem wit this is that there needs to be quite a few spider mites in order for the predator mites to live . You will end up with room full of insects , not good!!!

i will revile u BH input on how to prevent and get rid of the mites ...

Ok let's talk PREVENTION :
That is the simpliest thing to my knowledge since i start this i NEVER SO ANY SPIDER MITE IN MY GARDEN !!!!
and the secret is .....

... u ready???!!!!....

Insect Vapor Strips ,
yest is that simple , vapor strips is a chemical product designed to kill cockroaches and flying insects .
This is how they work , the strip is placed in the desired area and will emit vapor that kills bugs , in fact if an insect comes within 3ft of the vapor strip it will die quickly ,
This means if u place 1 vapor strip under each grow light an area 3ft in every direction will be protected (6ft x 6ft)
U can buy them in any hardware store or wallmart , and they last for 30 days .

OK let's talk about GETTING RID OF SPIDER MITES :

If for some reason u trying to eliminate spider mites for the room that is already heavily infected here is what to do ....

Turn OFF all grow lights , fans , etc... shut down ur grow !!!!
Place Vapor Strip under each light in the grow room
purchase a can of chemical fogger designed to kill insects ...
A chemical fogger is a canister that will automatically discharged chemicals once activated , and completely fogg the grow room ...
let the foog remind in the infected area for 24hrs to kill all spider mites ...
After 24hrs resume growing as before ...
Lights on , fans , etc...
THIS METHOD IS 100% EFFECTIVE .

And that's all folks ...

Well......maybe, maybe not.

Point 1. The strips are dangerous to humans and there are multiple warnings on the packaging. The plants will absorb the chemicals. Essentially, you stated don't use chemicals because you'll end up smoking them, and then u end up using similar chemicals that u end up smoking.......not smart.

Point 2. The foggers, which are usually pyrethium, don't necessarily do a killing job on the eggs. I've seen them work and I've seen them not work. I've also seen bad leaf reactions from the bombs too, basically turning a healthy room of plants (other than the mites) into a room full of plants that show unhealthy leaf burn issues caused by the bomb.


I will suggest a series of rotating applications of other products that are natural and much healthier to your plants and your lungs. Look up each product to find out why they are 100% better than what has been recommended: Mighty Wash, SucraShield, Neem (Azatrol and Azamax), Safer Insect Soap, Pepper Spray and Wax, Liquid Ladybug and Mite- X. Without using the stronger chemicals i.e. Forbid, Floramite, and Avid- it will be tough to kill them all 100%. But you will be able to control them so it doesn't get any worse until the crop is finished. When it is done, bleach down everything- walls, floors, pots, trays, lights, fans, EVERYTHING. I clean my room out and then set off a Doctor Doom bomb to be sure I didn't miss anything. Don't reuse soil- ever. Don't let pets in your room. I keep a pair of soccer flip flops in the room and only wear them while in there. Don't wear outside shoes in the room.

u guys can think what u like , it worked for me when i had mites bombing and all , and strips when i start using them mites never came back , but opinions r like assholes everybody have one u can try it or don't i tell u from experience it's working and u can take this either way u want it , i can care less

i just thought that it my help someone, on strips it sez that it's harmfull to pll , well they have to sey that cuz it,s chemicals , same thing like they put on a can of a spray paint etc ...
but to actually harm u , well marihuana technically it's harmful too but u would have to hit up crazy amount of it at once , and all of us toking every day and we r fine

If you do further research, the chemicals in the strips are cancer causing agents. Plant absorb the mist from the bombs thru the leaves. It may or may not wipe out your mite problem (I found they only work in small closets and tiny areas), but it can cause health problems over time. They're cheap and easy but surely not worth it.

airless paint sprayer and mighty wash beats fuck out of a no pest strip. and if not pyganic and an airless sprayer does.
